Google is hoping to transform cell phones the way it did to the Web, beginning with its first Android phone, the new T-Mobile G1. But if really wants to dominate the mobile market, Google will have to prove that it can out-do (or get third parties like HTC to out-do) Apple's iPhone, the market leader when it comes to functionality and usability.

We all know how much companies in China love producing knockoffs of successful products, and ActFind is selling a bunch of the iPhone. What's interesting is that ActFind is simply using photos of the real iPhone to sell some of the fakes. In a new blog post, Mozilla chairperson Mitchell Baker noted that she saw have an effective product in the mobile space”, which may indicate that Mozilla won’t ship a mobile browser by 2010. She added that “that is not the case at all” and that Mozilla “will ship well before then.”
